2008 LCHS Judges Clinic
Have you ever wondered what the judges consider during their decision to pin that blue ribbon? What do those
mysterious hieroglyphics mean on your Judges Score Card? To find out the answers
to these questions and more, join us at the "Ask the Judge Clinic". Each session will meet
with an official Horse Show Judge outside the ring. As you watch a class together, learn what it
takes to win Equitation and Hunter Classes. There will be opportunities to ask questions and receive answers
throughout the session.
In cooperation with the Brandywine Chapter of the Professional Horsemans Association (PHA),
the Ludwigs Corner Horse Show is pleased to present the "Ask The Judge Clinic". This clinic
is open to all amateur owners, riders and parents. This clinic will be held on Monday, September 1, at 1pm and 3pm. Cost is $15 per person.
Advance registration is requested, as seating is limited. Click

Carriage Exhibition and Drive
Remember the days gone past where horse and carriage were the primary mode of transportion? Come see the beauty and elegance of these
carriages and their horses. On Sunday, August 31,
LCHS is hosting an invitational carriage event which will include a pass through the main ring, followed by a cross country pleasure
drive. The carriage group will be invited to the Sponsor's Tent for a cocktail reception and a light dinner after the drive.
In honor and rememberance of these elegant times, the "Concours d' elegance" Trophy will be awarded to the "best
turnout", which is defined as the most pleasing overall appearance and impression of the horse(s), carriage, harness,
driver and passenger(s) together. This trophy has been established and donated by Dr. and Mrs. Rosato.
In addition, in memory of Mr. Robert M. Dunn, the "Sportsmanship in Carriage Driving" Trophy will be awarded to the team demonstrating
the best sportsmanship during the show. This trophy will be donated and presented by the Dunn Family.
To gain information about driving in this event, please call Dr. Donald Rosato at 610-827-7391.
Trophy Presentation Area
Due to its success, the Trophy Presentation area will be returning for this year.
The Trophy Presentation area will be located by the main ring, and will have a photographer available at all times to
take pictures of the winners and their ribbons and trophies. Be sure to stop by to get a momento of your award at one of the oldest
running shows in Chester County.
Trophy Cases
Champions at Ludwigs are presented with beautiful trophies which
are then engraved with their names next to the past winners. In order to keep the history of the show alive and part of the local community, LCHS will be displaying
the trophies throughout the year in two separate display cases. Thanks to the generosity of DNB First and Ludwig's Inn and Oyster Bar, friends
and family can view your trophy in style! Stop in and see the beautiful displays of trophies, enjoy seeing past winners
and speculate on this year's winners! Ludwig's Inn and Oyster Bar has a beautiful Bryce Ritter trophy case located in their lobby. DNB First (Rt 401 and 100 intersection)
houses the trophies in the lobby in an antique oak display case.
