The Ludwig’s
Corner Horse Show: Exciting Competition and Family Fun!
The 65th annual Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair caps off the summer
with three days of non-rated competition. A full slate of classes offered by
the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show gives hunter and jumper riders the opportunity to show before large crowds in a fun-filled, country fair
atmosphere. Held Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Labor Day Weekend, August 30, 31 and September 1, 2008 the show has been a Labor Day tradition for generations of families
for over half a century.
It is hard to believe, but we have already started planning and preparing for the 2008 Ludwigs Corner Horse Show! While it is still months away, there
are many people hard at work getting it organized and trying to make it even better than last year.

More than 500 horses compete in the show, held at the 33-acre Ludwig’s
Corner horse show grounds, located in the beautiful rolling Chester
County countryside near Glenmoore, PA (at the intersections of routes
100 and 401).The show runs non-stop from 8 am to 6 pm each day.
Divisions include equitation, LCHSA Medal, CCHSA Medal, short stirrup,
leadline, hunters, pleasure, jumper classics and hunter classics. Other

family class. Among the fun classes is a Daddy Leadline, walk/trot
optional, open to all fathers of exhibitors with ribbons to all.
Limited stabling is available.
The show’s highlight is the $7,500 Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show Association Jumper Classic
“mini-prix”, sponsored by Lexus of Chester Springs
In addition to exciting equestrian competition, hours of fun for all ages
will be provided by the Country Fair, which features a selection of mechanical and stationary rides
for children, games, and delicious food. Don't forget the “Shops at Ludwig’s
Corner,” a collection of local and national vendors. Guests will
be able to shop for everything from fudge to teak furniture, fine art
to fashions, and show souvenirs to equestrian supplies.
The show runs non-stop
from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Every day at Ludwigs will have a special entertainment feature. Pony Rides will be available throughout the show.
Ludwigs always provides a demonstration by the Pickering Hunt Pony Club Games team.

On Sunday, there will be a Carriage Exhibition
in the main ring, followed by a Pleasure Drive through the beautiful country side. On Monday, an antique and
classic car show and flea market will add to the fun. In addition to antique
and classic cars, the show will feature hot rods, street rods, and antique
tractors.
The event is raising money to expand the use of the grounds as a community
resource and is committed to preserving and protecting the horse tradition
of Chester County through open space and community involvement. The Ludwig’s
Corner Horse Show Association created a non-profit foundation devoted to
keeping the 33-acre show grounds as open space. The Ludwig’s Corner
Horse Show Association intends to continue to renovate the grounds, adding
a permanent storage building, permanent stabling and a new training ring.
