Thorncroft Mainstreamers

The Thorncroft Mainstreamers Mainstreamers will be providing a demonstration on Saturday afternoon in the main ring.  The Mainstreamers is a 6 horse 13 member team consisting of riders with and without disabilities ranging in age from 11 to 15.  Since early February, they have been honing their skills, working and riding together, often several times a week preparing for today’s performance.  They are a unique team of riders with wonderful talents.

The team was founded in 1986 and has performed throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York - including local performances at the Devon Horse Show, Dressage at Devon, the Philadelphia Polo Fields and the NARHA/DELTA National Convention held in Gladstone NJ.

Every therapeutic riding program pays special attention to their unsung hereos - the horses that make the work of therapeutic horseback riding possible.  Of the 6 horses in front of you today.. 5 were generously donated to Thorncroft, retired from their lives as competition horses in the fields of eventing, dressage or equitation.
